Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how BookForge ("we," "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use the BookForge platform, available at bookforge.space. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect: (a) account information you provide directly, such as your access password and, where applicable, your author name and bio; (b) content you create within the platform (book ideas, chapters, titles, covers, author bios, and generated illustrations); (c) payment information, processed by third-party payment processors — BookForge does not directly store full credit card numbers; (d) technical and usage data, such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps, collected automatically for the operation and security of the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: operate, maintain, and improve the Service; process your subscription and recurring billing; send the content of your instructions to the third-party AI providers needed to generate your book; prevent fraud, abuse, and misuse of the platform; communicate with you about your account, changes to the Service, or these legal documents; and comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Who We Share Your Information With

We share information with the following types of third parties, only to the extent necessary to operate the Service: (a) artificial intelligence providers (such as Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, and Pollinations.ai), to whom the content of your instructions is sent to generate text and images — these providers process that information under their own privacy policies, which we recommend you review; (b) payment processors, to manage your subscription; (c) hosting and technical infrastructure providers, to store and operate the platform; (d) legal authorities, when required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights. We do not sell your personal information to third parties for advertising purposes.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

BookForge uses strictly necessary session cookies to keep you logged in and remember your language preference. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking for marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account information and book content for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your account, we will retain the data for a reasonable additional period for backup, legal compliance, or dispute resolution purposes, after which it will be securely deleted or anonymized.

6. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including hashed passwords and access controls on our database. No system is completely secure; we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.

7. Your Rights

If you reside in Texas or another jurisdiction with applicable privacy laws (such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act — TDPSA), you may have the right to: (a) know what personal information we hold about you; (b) request correction of inaccurate information; (c) request deletion of your personal information; (d) opt out of the processing of your information for targeted advertising or the sale of data (BookForge does not sell personal data); and (e) appeal a denial of your request. To exercise any of these rights, write to us at 911srvs@gmail.com; we will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you become aware that a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. International Transfers

BookForge operates and stores information on servers located in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those of your country.
